This chapter is an extension
of the contribution initially prepared in the frame of
a « European Council of Civil Engineers »
Working Group.Il is solely devoted to civil engineering
structures and infrastructures from 18th century until
now. Each work is the subject of a mini-sheet comprising
a picture and a brief description (location, history,
function, characteristics, performances). Engineers involved
in the works are mentioned.
